Chandler Slough Hardware & Software Developed by John Capece & Laura Marino

Note: April 27, 2003 at 8:30 PM, the CR10 program was changed to CHAND3.CSI.  The changes include:

1. Increase the downstream offset by 0.01 ft based on field observations of today.
2. Increase the flow threshold trigger to 29.10 from 28.50 since there is sand blocking the stream at that approximate elevation.

The accuracy of the change #1 will need to be checked when the site starts flowing.  If after the next big rain storm the staff gage (downstream) reads 1.10 ft and the water is still not flowing then the 29.10 number will need to be increased in the program.

Also note that the rain recorded in the data file on 4/27 are simply the result of our testing the raingage.  The tipping bucket appeared to work OK, but the CR10 was not recording the pulses.  We moved the second tipping bucket wire from the G port that also held the manual sample trigger to a different G port.  The rain gage then seemed to work fine.  Very strange.  We will need to keep an eye on that instrument and pulse port.  The manual rain gage registered 1.98 inches that fell between Saturday early morning and afternoon.
